Humanitarian Support Personnel - Manager
Principales Obligaciones
Intermon Oxfam is looking to fill the position of Humanitarian Support Personnel - Manager for the International Cooperation Department, which is located in Barcelona.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Coordinator of the Humanitarian Area, the selected candidate will be in charge of the humanitarian response of Intermón Oxfam in the context of humanitarian crises in a global world area.
Key responsibilities are:
- To direct and manage the humanitarian response in the country designated, and coordinate with other Oxfam International affiliates.
- Identify and ensure that the Humanitarian Aid and emergency projects/programmes answer to Intermón Oxfam intervention policy
.- Carry out urgent exploratory and planned assignments for the Humanitarian Action Area.
- Implement missions in emergency situations to guarantee a quick deployment of resources and activities.
- Analyse and identify the reality of the context, the needs and the adaptation of human and financial resources
.- To plan and control the budgeted expenses for the assigned response.
- Establish the necessary operational technical measures on the field.
- Carry out, if necessary, support activities, in the Humanitarian Action Area at Central Headquarters (Barcelona).
Requisitos
REQUIRED PROFILE
- University degree. A complementary training in Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (Wash), Food Safety or Security will be valued.
- A 3 years minimum experience in Humanitarian Action projects, preferably with technical responsibilities in WASH, logistic or food security.
-Advanced level of Spanish and/or English and/or French (Two languages are required).- Results orientated and strategic vision.
- Staff management skills.
- High flexibility and adaptation to changes.
- Flexibility and availability to travel/ stay on the field, without any warning, at any time and in any country for the time thought to be necessary (it is estimated that 80% of the time is spent on the field).
Condiciones Laborales
Contract of employment: Contract for 2 years. Salary: According to Intermón Oxfam’s country salary scale.ç Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance, as well as children benefits. Holidays: According to the working calendar in the country.Working place: Home based or HQ Barcelona (Spain) - It is estimated that 80% of the time is spent on the field.
