ACF Spain, as part of the ACF International network, is an international non-governmental, private, apolitical, non confessional and non-profit organization created in 1979. Their vocation is to combat hunger, misery and dangerous situations that threaten men, women and children. Currently 500 expats and more than 5,000 employees are working in our International Network. ACF International is present in more than forty-six countries working in projects concerning four areas of focus: nutrition, health, food security and water and sanitation. ACF Spain is looking a coordinator to implement a 4 months identification phase, focused on the agro, animal husbandry and economic assessment of the North East region of Syria, leading to the design of a 4 years program proposal.
Objective
- Implementing AECID identification phase, counting with the resources described in it in order to achieve the stated outputs. The expected output and activities of the Convenio identification and program design are:
- Review relevant and existing documents and secondary information
- Conduct an agro-pastoral survey and socio-economic survey of the potential target areas and beneficiaries following specific technical tools
- Discussion, negotiation and design of Partnership format with ACSAD as well as the project agreement
- Write assessment report
- Present assessment findings to stakeholders
- Design of integrated program proposal in English based on the assessment in line with AECID
- Validation
- Coordinate and co-manage with ACSAD coordinator the local human resources assigned to the identification phase
- Assess the pertinence and feasibility of interventions in the area, following mission strategy in coordination with HoM and in discussions with various stakeholders in the humanitarian sphere and other relevant actors.
- Coordinate the budget forecast and follow up
- Respect of the mission security rules according to the mission security plan.
- Coordinate and consult with relevant agencies and analyze best practices and lessons to include in the proposals
- Ensure and maintain the working relationship with the local partner described in it in order to achieve the stated outputs, in negotiation with local authorities, partners and all other stakeholders.
Profile
- Degree and/or Master Degree in agriculture engineering with related fields on socio-economics, animal husbandry (sheep) and marketing of agro products
- Previous experience in designing and implementing a longer term agropastoral development program
- At least 5 years of experience of work in developing countries with NGOs, preferably with local partners
- A demonstrated knowledge of Project Cycle Management and mainly on assessments and proposal writing
- Strong knowledge on participatory data collection methodologies, agropastoral sector analysis, data analysis and report writing
- Monitoring and evaluation skills.
- Fluent English language skills (oral and written)

Condiciones Laborales
We offer immediate incorporation to a dynamic international network with the following remuneration package:
Remunerative Package:
- Formal contract of work.
- Salary: from 1500€ to 2350 € gross per month according to candidate’s previous experience + responsibility plus ( according to standard list of ACF Spain)
- ACF-Spain remuneration system allows a salary progression based on the annual development appraisal
- Travel costs to and from the mission.
- Per Diems.
- 25 working days of holidays per year.
- One week of breaks, (including travel cost to the reference zone, and 200 Euros to pass the week of break).
- Travel and accident insurance and repatriation on account of the organization.
- Extra per month and per child (Under 18 years old)
- House and maintenance cover by the organization.
